Colorado Highway 402 will reopen late afternoon on Friday, Oct. 18, three days ahead of schedule. At that time, southbound on- and off-ramp traffic will utilize the recently constructed roundabout on the west side of I-25 on CO 402. The new northbound on- and off-ramps will remain closed until the night of Oct. 22. Traffic will continue to utilize the northbound I-25 off-ramp onto the SE Frontage Road and the northbound I-25 on-ramp at River Ranch Parkway. When traffic is switched to the new northbound I-25 on- and off-ramps, the SE Frontage Road, south of CO 402, will be reopened in both directions utilizing the new roundabout at County Road 18 and the SE Frontage Road.

Crews will require full closures of northbound and southbound I-25 at Prospect Road on Sunday, Oct. 13 and Monday, Oct. 14, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., to form the new deck of the Prospect Road bridge. I-25 traffic will be detoured up and over I-25 using the on- and off-ramps at Prospect Road.

Starting Monday, Oct. 14, CDOT will close interstate access from westbound Colorado Highway 56/County Road 44 and limit access on County Road 46 to local traffic only. These closures are expected to remain in place through early November.

During this time, motorists east of I-25 will not be able to access the I-25 on- and off-ramps at CO 56/CR 44. To access I-25, a detour will be in place starting along CR 44, routing traffic through northbound Colorado Boulevard/County Road 13 to Colorado Highway 60. CO 60 will take motorists to I-25. Please refer to the detour map below as well as electronic messaging boards along the detour route.
