1. Where can I sign up for utilities?

Water, sewer and trash pickup is provided by

Natural Gas is provided by
>Xcel Energy 800-895-4999.

Electricity is provided by either >Xcel Energy 800-895-4999,
>Poudre Valley REA 970-226-1234 or

2. Recycling?

Waste Management is the refuse collection company for the Town. For recycling you may call them at 970-352-6124.

3. Where are the parks?

Parks are located through out the Town. Click here for more information on Town Parks

4. Are any animals banned in the city?

Johnstown Municipal Code Section 7-138 specifies prohibited animals, including:
>any animal having poisonous bites,
>any farm animal (horse, mule, sheep, goat, llama, swine, cow, or livestock,
>any wild or exotic animal.

The Johnstown Police Department can be reached at 970-587-5555 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m..

6. Trash Pickup?

The Town provides, by contract with Waste Management, collection and removal of trash.
Please contact Town Hall at 970-587-4664 to sign up for trash pickup and rates.

7. Where can I find local school information?

There are two school districts that serve Johnstown.
One for residents in Weld County, another for Larimer County.

8. Do I have to license my pets?

Johnstown requires dogs and cats to be licensed.
