Full Closure of CO 402 for I-25 North Express Lanes Project Delayed

The 120-day closure of eastbound and westbound Colorado Highway 402 at I-25 originally scheduled to begin the night of Monday, May 20, has been rescheduled. Recent wet weather has prevented crews from completing necessary pre-closure activities. The closure is now scheduled to begin on Monday, June 10. CO 402 will be fully closed from the southbound I-25 on- and off-ramps to the new Southeast Frontage Road beginning Monday, June 10 through Tuesday, Oct. 8. Once completed in October, the new configuration at CO 402 will be fully operational and future impacts at this interchange will be minimal. As we get closer to the closure we will send additional information about detour routes.

Construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change. Please watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting mainline I-25 and obey all posted signage in construction zones. Your safety and the safety of our crews is our highest priority.

The I-25 North Express Lanes Project provides a Courtesy Patrol during commute hours (6 to 9 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.) to assist with disabled vehicles within the project limits.
