The closure of Colorado Highway 60 between County Road 17 and Colorado Highway 257 for the replacement of the Little Thompson River Bridge near Milliken began on January 15 and is scheduled to conclude in mid-May 2018. Crews are working Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The planned detour is Weld County Road 13 north to WCR 50, east to WCR 17, north to WCR 52 and then south on CO 257 back onto CO 60.
While plans originally called for a complete closure of CO 257, crews will instead built a temporary road diversion, also known as a shoofly, to reduce the impact to local businesses, residents and travelers. Shoofly construction on CO 257 will started January 15, just north of the bridge over Little Thompson River to CO 257, just south of the bridge.
